This course aims at equipping students with effective study skills and the necessary information when they start their university life. The course is carried out based on Project-based and Task-based approach which maximize students’ engagement and time for practice. Teamwork skills, Problem-solving skills, essential study skills, and information and digital literacy are the main concepts of the course. Besides, the time allotted for practicing the skills is expected to be sufficient to offer students an overall picture of what they need to prepare, plan and apply to their 4-year learning journey ahead. Group work and pair work activities are utilized to facilitate students’ participation in the learning process. Last but not least, case studies, lists of questions, and self-testing toolkits in the textbook are highly recommended for students to self-reflect.
